Easy Peasy Nasi Tomato

As I'm thinking to clear my fridge before balik kampung, I'm looking for simple dishes for iftar to bring over to MIL's house. As I only have a chicken, mula2 ingat nak buat nasi ayam... hmmmmm.. boring... Nasi beriani.. aiseh boring dah makan takde bahan.... hmm... how about Nasi tomato... oh yes.. Nisa will like it as tomato (sos) is her favorite now after kicap...

Well the ingredients (serve for 4 - 6 peoples)

1/4 cup of oil

2 onions (chopped)
4 garlics (chopped)
2 cm ginger (chopped)
4 cm cinnamon stick
3 star anisess
3 cloves
3 cardamon

4 cups of rice (dibersih & ditoskan)
4 - 5 cups of water
1/2 cups of tomato sauce (mine is MAGG1)
salt

Optional
bawang goreng, buah tomato, daun pudina

Heat up the oil and saute onions, garlics, ginger, cinnamon, star anis, cloves & cardamon till fragrant. Add in rice stir until its completely mix with sauted ingredients. Add in water, tomato sauce and salt to taste.

Senangkan... my mom original receipe add on lemon grass and milk. But since as I said I make this just to clear all stuff in my fridge, then tak taruk la... But the taste is there and my mum says tak muak... kalau nak makan sendiri tu boleh sgt heheheh...

This Nasi Tomato served with ayam masak merah, bergedil, sambal belacan (is a must!!) & acar timun... So today my fridge tinggal telur je.. boleh la buat nasi goreng je for sahur... we plan nak berbuka kat Sunw@y Pyr@m1d. So then that's all for today. Tomorrow dah nak balik Terengganu (Yeyyyy!!!). So no update... balik raya masuk ofis (huwaaaaa.... :( tak best nyerrr...)
