Got to go. Need to cleen baby's poo.

Adab or Adat!

Wednesday, April 08, 2009

Last night, we (me & hubby) reach home quite late. Its 9:15pm. Hubby had to attend meeting with customer and I know he looks exhausted. While we reach home, our house gate ws widely open. Thought Nisa is just playing around and waiting for us. But I was wrong.
Upon step out from the car, my mum shot at us. "Jangan kunci pagar, Mak Teh nak datang". I'm like.. what??..

I'm so pissed off!! Really!! I can't even smile last night. My body was aching.. with rumbles tummy.

I just walk in. Hubby being as cool as he asking me if my mom had informed me about this earlier and of course my answer is "No!". He then tried to looks cool, throw some idea of buying some stuff for the guest. Me losing my coolness just screaming from our unsorted messy kitchen, "Tak payah!! Saper suruh datang time-time camni. Tak reti nak inform awal-awal ke? Siapa bagi izin? Ni tetamu siapa? Pandai-pandai je accept orang datang rumah. Hidang je apa yang ada. Time-time camni pon nak datang rumah orang. Tak pikir ke orang nak rehat"

I think my mom heard that!!

At 9:30PM they still not arrive. And I just can't wait anymore. Every conversation replied with high pitch tone from my throat. End up I walk to upstairs and lock myself in the room. Around 9:45PM they arrive infront of the gate. Mom call at me to "notify" me that the sedara is here. I'm not answering. Not even walks down to just bersalam with them. Until they went home almost 1 hour later. I know its rude.

While lying down, my head keeps on thinking on Adab berkunjung in Islam vs. Adat in malay. Tried to justify, am I do the right things here.

Adat
1. I know, its doesn't portray a good manner of not entertain or accepting visitors some more with sedara-mara.
2. They came from far, and only have a chance to visits you when they are here.
3. Bukan selalu diroang datang.

Adab
1. You should not get into other people house unless is permitted. - In this case - none
2. Visit during suitable hour.- Obviously not
3. As a wife, I have to get permission from hubby before letting people/visitors into our house. - you read as above

Having common malay muslim mother that always priotize sedara mara first "Biar mati anak jgn mati adat" culture and mengamalkan "perkara-perkara biasa" in malays family life, definitely not showing any respect for me as tuan rumah and some more respect to my husband as Ketua Keluarga in the house. I felt so guilty on this. Its no fun having a mother that used and always to give "arahan" to her adik beradik and anak-anak and now do the same thing to her son-in-law. Nasib baik laki aku jenis high-tolerance. But as for me I totally disagree of my mother's action. She just think that because of people yang nak datang is sedara-mara, she simply put a decision that its ok just to let them in without let me or hubby know. Haih!!!

I tried to put the blame on my pregnancy hormones. But I can't. I never inform you that my mother daughter relationship with my mom has never been a good one since I was at secondary school. I won't eloborate more here. As its never show a good example to others.

So semalam was on fire.

I know its not worth for you guys to read this. But I have to blow it out!!!

Conjunctivitis virus had successfully attacking our family members in the house. Started with Najah then pass to my mum, then hubby and now my turn. Sungguh tak best when you have to experience braxton hicks+conjunctivitis+messy house at the same time.

Our house renovation 95% complete. Tinggal mende remeh temeh je lagi.. I'm slowly cleaning up all the mess that have do with renovation (habuk simen berterbangan etc.etc..). I luveeeee my new kitchen. Sungguh puas hati.... lepas ni no more excuse malas masak from me... heheh.. this weekend already book for house cleaning and preparation for baby's arrival. The only things that I'm not able to complete here is my promise to prep new curtain for 'new brand' Nisa's room. Tak sempat dan tak kose la plak nak merayap ke kedai kain jus for this. Some more not so urgent but Nisa keep on 'pastering' me when should we hang new curtain for her. Hehe....

I hope baby won't make its way out too soon or at least the place is ready for his/her arrival. Will have another appointment with fav Dr. Siti this coming Saturday for my 38 weeks check up and as last check-up 2 weeks ago, baby weigh +-2.8kg and baby has positioned itself for delivery. Even myself already feel discomfort while I have to walk. Terasa seperti ada mende sangkut in between my pelvic bone. Sleepless night for me when I have to turn from other side to another side plus dictracted by kicking legs & arms from Najah. Dah la malam-malam sekarang ni panas... aiyoh!!

Office works reducing for now for me. No more site visit for me. My last visit to Telco customer totally makes them worries about my condition some more while they 'catch' me holding mild pain with braxton hicks. Markah kesian kat gua bos pon have to make do with other resources in the office. With current economic situation, hiring more members is the last opt that management have to do. I've seen colleagues have to stretch out for more works. Kesian for them but sooner or laytur I will be on my maternity leave. Better to transfer current client progress while I'm still around. Already warn them that I'm not picking up any office call for work stuff during my maternity. Heheheh...

I think that's all for now. I know that my updates is not as freq as before. So not sure for next update.. so see you when I see you la...

Here.. there...

Life being so hectic lately both working and personal life hence poor updates from me. So what's new or news from me. Here some updates:
Nisa
This girl can talk, sing, and talk and sing again non-stop for a day. Pretty tired for others just to listen over her school stories or Powerpuff Girls and Powerpuff Girls Z or singing or do some spelling or telling on doodles and so on and so forth...- non stop. So you can imagine us in long or short (pretty enough) journey for us just to listen her.. sometimes it does entertain us.. but when its too much jadi irritating pon ada.. nak buat camne kan? Dah memang talkative... let it be je la...
Najah
This girl was having allergy reactions since after Chinese New Year. She's now under anti-histamine medication. So far she cannot eat seafood stuff (including keropok), cheese & banana. Dah la tu favourite dia. Will see how it goes. According to dermatologist, it will fade away in 6 weeks. But if it still there, she had to go thru blood test.
On Pregnancy
I'm approaching 34th weeks this weekend. So its about 6 more weeks to go. I have not decided which tukang urut that I have to choose...there are a few of them near to my house... thinking of to get them to help me on bathing the baby as well for first 7 days at home... undecided! undecided! Babys' item almost complete.. errr sort off...I'm still looking up for spare parts of my @vent breast pump. Most of the place that I went sez its out of stock... Ordering from UK takes sometimes to get delievered. Seek help from frens at UK.. but postage alone can cost me 30 pounds tak termasuk barang... might as well buy new je kat sini... or may end up buy other brand je la...
Life
Our house now under renovation after 5 years living there without doing any major changes. No kitchen cabinets.. no fancy fence/gates... no fancy painting ...those stuff...its just a plain original house..
Since our kitchen now we felt that its need some major refreshment plus kitchen aid those pinggan mangkuk makin bertambah but no proper place to keep, and our house are getting lusuh every single year with all kulat hitam dinding luar rumah...so with a money in hands we decide to do those things in 1 short. I think its going to be our first and last major renovation to the house.... hehehehe...
So now our dapur sudah pecah... Thanks to self-service laundry that available these days... I may spend 1 hour of my time sitting & lepaking at dobi. Tak kuasa la mokcik nak memberus baju kat rumah tu. dengan perut dah membuyut nih... Lagipon takde tempat nak sidai.. (heheheh alasan...)..
Ok la.. its 15 minutes to 5pm.. getting ready to chow...heheheh...

Konsert Akhir Tahun

Monday, November 03, 2008

Oh man!! Malasnya nak kerja... My last week most of my office time well spend on the road to customer site. 2 days lepak kat KL and 1 day at Putrajaya. As mak buyung.. penatnya mak aiii...!!

BTW, to fulfill my malasness mood a.k.a ponteng from office work, I shall blog la. lagipon dah lama jugak tu tak update.

Oh ya...Last Sunday, we went to Nisa School Annual Concert.

We went there around 8 o'clock. I'm helping their teacher to prep a few kids. It seems ramai mak2 budak lain do the same, so I decide to find a place to sit. Penat nak berdiri lama-lama. So while sitting in waiting for concert to start, a few kids handing over a piece of paper. Suppose is an itenary of the occasion.

I flipping, and saw a list of students names from both of their branches that have been awarded as an excellent students for year 2008. Its divided by 2 different branch and have 4 classes at each branch. 2 classes for 6 year old kids and 2 Classes for 5 years old kids. Suddenly, my moms pointing out 1 familiar name. Nur Ain Nisa bt Mohammed Feizal as a first student in her class K2 Cactus. Oh man... I almost got caught by teary eyes. Tapi gua nak control macho.. hahahah.. I just smile and share the news to my hubby yang tgh busy jadi photographer. My husband just buat sound.. hmmmmm... tapi kita tahu dia pon control macho gak tu hahahhahah...

Around 9AM, the concert started 2 best students rep from both school branch became a EmCee of the day and 1 ustaz kecik dunno from which branch recite an openning du'a. After, performance from kids from varies type of dancing. Dari zapin, ke hindustan, modern, rap... macam-macam.Nisa performing Dikir Barat. Lagu Anak Tupai. I never heard the song before until for past 2 weeks Nisa keeps on singing the first para of the song at home. Rasanya sebab tu je yang catchy for her. Tu pon her pronunciation in Kelantanese sangatla kelakar bunyinya. On the day, she's wearing Baju Melayu warna kuning complete with sampin and bend ikat kepala. I'm happy she manage to follow all steps. Biasala budak-budak. Dalam ramai2 tu adala yang sibuk lambai kat member/parents la... yang tersalah arah la.. but we had fun watching them.

After 10th performance (there are 20++ of them), they stop for award giving ceremony. Whenever they called for Nisa, my husband cepat-cepat la ambik port nak ambik gambar. Its so proud to watch your own kids step on stage just to receive an award eventho its just a light-weight plastic trophy. :)

After, the show resume, and end around 12 noon.

We decide to bring her to holiday cum wedding invitation at JayBee. The wedding was on 16 Nov, and original plan is just to have short visit now turn to be 1 extra day visit with booking to a place for all of us to enjoy our holiday.

Gambau.. nanti kita upload.

Update!!

Raya!!!

Tuesday, October 07, 2008

We arrived at Gong Kapas at 8pm. Past over iftar time. So I missed to berbuka puasa with dentuman bedil which its became a Kuala Terengganu folks tradition. Lucky I have 1 more day for me to experience our last Ramadhan at Terengganu.
During Sahur time, bedil was fired twice. Usually 10 minutes before Imsak (maybe nak kejutkan those yang belum sahur) and another when the clock shown 15 minutes before Subuh. As "meriam bedil" now was fired at Bukit Pak Apil (or famous as Bukit RTM), which is just behind my grandmother house, wooden floor will bit shaken each time cannon man fired his bedil. But I was fun to feel this over and over again. Its an experience that I still can share with my kids and also to my Johorian husband.
Our last Ramadhan in Terengganu, practically I was doing nothing much. Just scouting crowded mall in Terengganu to buy some carbonated drinks and cordiall for raya. After we just wandering around Kuala Terengganu town and stop by at old mini market near to Jalan Kamaruddin to buy some famous local rempah ratus to bring back to Puchong. Fortunately the shop was selling jeruk maman which is something that I didn't have for quite sometimes. So I bought 1 pack for our berbuka puasa dish.
Back home, Nisa and other kids bersemangat berpuasa penuh. So Nisa manage to berpuasa penuh on the last day of Ramadhan of 2008. She was so excited waiting for berbuka puasa session. I told her, do not touch the food until you hear azan and bedil. She anxiously waiting for bedil as its not something common to her.
Later when she heard bedil sound she excitedly told everybody in the house, "Dah boleh minum, dah boleh makan, bedil dah bunyi... kuaaatttt!!"
Tok Chik cooked Nasi Lemak and Mee Goreng for iftar. So jeruk maman served with Mee Goreng. All gone by 9 pm as orang dapur preparing Raya dish which is ketupas instant (ketupat palas just bought from wet market; Ppasor Ggarib), kuah kacang, gulai daging nasi minyak, acar timun, rendang ayam and ayam masak merah. All dish done before 12 midnight. Dah ramai pembantu cepatla siapnya. All went to sleeps to get good rest for Raya celebration for tomorrow even all mercun, fireworks masih berdentam-dentum.
Pagi Raya I terbangun pukul 6:30 AM. Nasi minyak aroma menusuk hidungku. My mom helping her sister Tok Chik to cook Nasi minyak and preheat early-prep lauk pauk. Kejutkan hubby to prep himself for Raya. Kids still sleeping. After subuh prayer, iroining our traditional baju melayu and baju kurung. By time clock shown 7 plus, kejutkan Nisa and told her its Hari Raya. Dengan penuh semangat dia bangun. Najah as usual still sleeping. At 7:30 Nisa help herself with others breakfast with Raya dish. Suka dia makan. As for me, I take my own sweet time to take a shower. I did not join sembahyang sunat raya. Kena jaga kids and my alzheimer maktok at home. Takpe la lagipon Najah tak bangun lagi.
While I was tidy up our room, around 8:30AM, again bedil was fired for 7 times. But this time I can witness on how bedil was explode. I quickly called Nisa and other kids to witness bedil exploded which is we can see just from the window. Actually its just a simple fireworks like. Nisa was happy with the event. Najah terbangun by this time. Showered her and fix her with baju kurung.
Around 9:30 AM most of people back home from masjid. Mari bersalam & bermaafan session started. As for Nisa, this was the first significant raya for her. During bersalam with me and her ayah, bergenang mata dia as she asked for forgiveness. Everyone in the house just smile at her.
After salam session, neighboor start knocking the door. Where the raya mood makan-makan session was started and ziarah-menziarah session begin.
That's my raya story. How about yours?
Selamat Hari Raya!

Weekend

Monday, August 25, 2008

Last weekend was busy with bowling tournament and shopping-sakan-baju-raya for kids. For 2 days jugaklah we went to KL for these purposes. I jarang tau masuk KL sejak dah balik kerja kat Subang ni.. plak dah tu dah menetap area Puchong lagi la lemau..
Alhamdullillah all went well. We manage to spent within our budget. Lagipon tengah on mega sale. Dapatla jimat sikit. Both kids are happy with their new baju raya and kasut raya. Si kakak dah pandai demand with the design. Si adik pulak busy on her own attention lari celah2 baju and sometimes get distracted by the toys... tu baru 2 org.. pening-pening. We went to The M@ll. Original plan was Sog0 but the carpark was full. So we change our route to The M@ll. Shopping-sakan la kami kat Parks0n. Good things tak ramai orang. I think because we we arrived its start raining heavily kat luar.
So done with kids. Lepas ni cari baju ayah & mama la plak. I need to buy new pair of shoes. Ayah pon. At least 1 pair baju kurung for me. This year tak tempah. Malas nak pergi tailor. So next round I will be pusing2 around Subang or Shah Alam to get 1 pair baju kurung for me la... Kononnya nak cari yg simple and put in labuci by myself.. tapi rasa2nya diri ini sangat sengap malas yg teramat. Maka angan-angan ku naik jahit labuci sendirik tinggal begitu aja la...

Ok good news to all.

Saturday!

Saturday, August 02, 2008

Alhamdullillah...All went well.. I mean my BIL engagement ceremony was went very well. I have to wait a pictures from our photographer to handover his job of the day before I can published in my blog or flickr. Akak tak ambik gambar... takde masa dik non... maklumla.. akak kan planner... orang fenting!! (bwekkk!!)

I'm so tired. With all activities (that most of the time makan, talk, makan & talk)... its really tiring me.. but somehow I feel blessed. After the function, all of us gathers back at my IL's house to have some hi-tea, solat and lepak session. I got a challenge from cousins to eat sireh. Actually we are challenging each other. So she start first without kapur, gambir and pinang. I'm kind off .... errgghhhh!! And she failed. Then my turn. So as adviced by Mak As... I put in kapur, gambir and pinang. Fold the leave and all eyes start staring at me... suspen sungguh...

So after berfikir more than 100 times... I said what the heck! I can eat raw cabbage with belacan mentah and asam jawa mentah during my team building session... so this could be nothing much for me. Then the leaves into my mouth.

I munch.. and munch... at first rasa cam kan ulam je ... but when you start smelling bau sireh tu... then I can taste real sireh. I don't know how to describe... seriously... bukan tak nak share rasa but you have to try it by yourself in order for you to feel it. I manage to finished them. Siap ada aksi bukak mulut to prove it ahahahah... and then memasing.... "uiii... gigi lidah dah merah!!" hahahha... mulut aku jadi cam mulut mak enon dah...

She wants to retry. So she put in all "ingredients" in. Then start to munch. Half way when its start produce the smell, she had to run to kitchen sink to throw back on whatever in her mouth.... hahahah gagal ler...
Then real mak enon which is Mak As start to munch the sireh. Her mouth is more reddish than mine. I think maybe she ate slow and steady... and the coloring & taste was covering all over her mouth. Like me I munch as fast as I can and swallow it as when the size it right enough to passing thru to much throat.

Sambil kunyah-kunyah tu Mak As siap la bercerita... "kalau nak pedas taruk kapur byk sket... kalau tak tahan pedas... sikit cukup la... gambir tu tak taruk pon takpa... yg penting kapur & pinang..."

Waaa... tak ku tahu ada rules ghupanya nak makan sireh ni.. ingatkan boleh main belasah je....

6 down... 3 more to go...

Sacrifice

Monday, July 14, 2008

Today we went home a bit late. Hubby had to finished some of his task.

By the way, when we reached home, I saw my nephew's car park in front of the gate. I'm glad his coming after a few months did not see him. He very close to me. Being a first grandchild in the big family of us, he did play a good example and role to his parents, grandparents, uncles and aunties, siblings and cousins. His obey on every single rule from parents albeit it will hurt him a lot or need him to sacrifices on his part.

When his father falling ill due to stomach ulcer, he willingly halt his study to taking care of his siblings. When his mother falling ill and being hospitalize at HKL, he willingly travel by bus every weekend from KT to KL to visit his mother and to bring 1 or 2 of his small siblings to see his mother. Its true sacrifice that I can see from this young man.

Now he still study at UiTM Shah Alam, and having 1 semester to go. I'm so proud of him being thru this journey at this young age. Ok his 25 year old. Yes, just 5 year old younger from this makcik.

By the way, back to the story, he's in my house today. I can feel something not right in him. His face was not glowing as always. Talk very slow than usual. So after dinner, I just wait from him to throw out the burden. But still nothing.... I know this 'problem' will be heavier than usual. So I just start the conversation. Then he slowly open up the story. He had a relationship problem with his girlfriend. OK that's sound quite straight forward. Let me go in detail, his girl wants to left him for unknown reason. Its been a year already. Within almost a year they still text-ing each other but no meet up. The girl refused and given 1001 excused.

He honestly told me, he really love the girl and he did bring this girl to met with his parents and he himself did visit girl's parent to show his honesty towards the girl. He honestly telling me due to his love condition towards this girl and I think a bit of lust (and syaithon) he did kiss the girl and now he regret over his action. But at the same time swear with me that he did not did anything beyond than that. I trust him but at the same time I angry of his action but at the same time I understood on whatever he did. I really thankful that he regret on what he already did. Afterall we are all human.

I can feel its to heavy for him to carry this burden alone. But at the same time, I did not want this disturb his study which is just few months left.

So I told him, holding or draging this issue for almost 1 year is not good. I told him, you should let off this girl. The longer you holding it is the harder to both of you. I know its hard but you should stop this and start to that points you should start something new in your life. If you really love her just let her go. If she is so perfect for you and you can not having it, remember Allah have a better plan to all of us. The only thing you should pray for the best, and redha on whatever have decided by Him. I remind him, its not only about the girl that you love, all peoples around you... your parents, family and everybody loves you. Don't let them down. You just have few months to go.

He admit and planning on next step to clear off the issue.

Before he left, I walk with him to his car. After salam-ed with me, he hug me. I pat on his back and say "Its OK for you to cry. Let it go... just cry". And he did cried on my shoulder. It was my first time after like 15 years I saw this man cry. I'm so touched that he trust me sharing on his personal life. He trust me more than others. But I should not destroyed this trust by just leaving him alone during this period. I asked him to come back next week. I want an update from him. I want to indirectly (and transparently) involve between this couple. I would like to see him back together but I did not want to give a hope.

Afterall, I pray for the best for him. InsyaAllah.

Nisa's Diary:My Sunday Outing

Dear Diary,

On Sunday, me and family had our lunch at Fig & Olive. I ate Creme Chicken Mushroom but I had to share with Adik because Mama said I will not be able to finished them all. Ayah ordered Chicken Pesto Carbonara for himself, Grill Dory Mushroom for Mama and Figo Black Pepper Steak for Mak Tok.

I love my Creme Chicken Mushroom but I prefer to eat Mama's Olive rice with Grill Dory. It taste so yummy! I ate almost half of the rice.

Below is Najah picture. Ayah said adik is hardly to smile and always look serious in photo. Like me I love when Mama or Ayah taking picture of me. I will always smile in my photo.

Anyway, I really enjoy my food (actually its Mama's food). I hope Ayah can bring me to this place again. Thank you Ayah for bring us here. I love you.

Love,

Nisa

Gong Kapas' Family Family Day!

Friday, July 04, 2008

I have 2 more papers left.

Gong Kapas' Family Family Day was great. Met my long-time-no-see cousins. Along was 5 months pregnant. Dilia was 5 weeks pregnant after 2 years married with Fadhil. Adik Ma now temporary SAHM. She's now hunting for job. Any HR related post available around Kota Damansara please share with me.

We stay at Strawberry Park Apartment Kijal as we did not manage to book any resort or hotel near to Cherating/Kemaman border. Ni under estimate short holiday punya pasal. We thought of school holiday was over and the place would be easy to get but we are wrong.

2 apartments at Strawberry was booked to accompany 5 families. The place was nice actually but due to poor management a few things was disservice and deface. The swimming pools tiles was come off. Television was not working (happen to my unit). But afterall, our purpose is just to have a place to sleep is good enough for all of us.

We reached there around 3 PM after 4 hours journey from Puchong. Just stop at Ombak restaurant at Cherating to had our scrumptios lunch off Nasi Putih, Ikan Siakap Masak Stim, Tomyam Campur, Sup Ayam, Daging Masak Merah,Kailan Ikan Masin, Telur Goreng Dadar, Sambal Belacan with Timun and last but not least fresh blend of Watermelon juice. Yummmmyy!!

We check-in to our apartment and had our 1/2 hour rest before the kids decide to jump into the pool. The weather was nice with the breeze that coming from beach. The kids had a blast moment swimming in the pools until all sudden The Pink Oink-Oink passing by near to our pool.

"Mama, itu pig kan mama"

"Ha ah... shhhhhhhhhhh..."

Hahahahah!!! The place full with flora and fauna rupanya...

So after Maghrib, we heading to Pok De house to start the BBQ session. Nasi Goreng, bihun goreng and kepok (keropok) pon ada. Kids really enjoy themselves. The party was over around 11:30 PM. Most of the kids getting drowsy and some of them already travel to la-la land. But most of adult still busy stuffing ourselves with ikan bakar, sotong bakar, udang bakar, ayam bakar, daging and kambing bakar. At 12 we clean up the table. Pack some left over to bring to our apartment.

Wake up next following day the time shown 7:15. Subuh Gajah aku dibuatnya. Most of the kids still sleaping. Mothers preps last night left over to be our breakfast (the place did not provide breakfast). So had our breakfast time. 9AM kids again jump into the pools for 45 minutes aktiviti berendam. At 10, all of us busy preparing kids masing-masing and clean up and pack up most of our stuff. We check out from the place at 11AM. Some of us touring Bandar Kemamang and some straight away drive themselves to Pok De house for lunch time.

As for me, we drop in to Teluk Mok Nik (Monica Beach bak kata orang puteh) to borong our Sata, Kepok leko and kepok keping, and also Kelapa Jelly. Arrived at Pok De house, people busy preparing some side dish as main was catered. Pok De was serving me nasi himpit with sambal kelapa which is something that I did not have for quite long time. Lunch served at 12:30. With famous amous sambal belacan with mempelam cincang, budu and ulaman. Ikan singgang, ayam percik (for those non-terengganu family), sayur lemok jambu golok, ikan panggang (alamak meleleh la plak air liur...) with kordial. Super Yummmmmss!!!

After had our lunch, (since we just using paper plate) most of us just sitting down and continue our never ending story until 1 by 1 of us fly to lalaland.

We start our journey heading back to Puchong at 5PM.We had a very smooth journey and reached at home at 9PM.

Everybody was tired but I have to start my laundry especially on wet clothes. Only manage to lay down at 12 midnight before I start to worry on my exam again....

p/s: Will upload the picture later. Still waiting from my cousin.

We Went To TUDM Open Day!!

Sunday, June 01, 2008

We were there as early as 8:30 AM (consider early as its Sunday...). Below is the best shot that we can get with cikai camera. During this hour how I wished I had canggih DSLR camera to take a shot. We were at the best spot. The jet fighter was flew above our head as low as I can remember. Bergegar gegendang telinga sebelah as my other hand covering Najah's ear (the other side melekap kat badan)...

Trip to Langkawi

Monday, May 19, 2008

What can I say. 3 days 2 nights was so tiring. Tapi puas hati when I can see happy faces both of my kids. They do really enjoy the trips. Me borong a lots of chocs. Yums!! Lepas ni sumpah muntah cokelat!! Hahaha..

We check-in to 2-stairs-apartment hotel at RM600 per night during peak season. The apartment quite cossy with 3 rooms and 3 bathrooms. Main bedroom I think can fit in 2 king size beds. Luas giler..The service is OK and breakfast OOokkkaaylaaaaa...The hotels was actually have a swimming pool so kids have a blast swim in.

The Trip!

We are not visiting all places. Only Dataran Lang, Makam Mahsuri, Telaga Harbour, Oriental Village (but not cable car) and Chenang Beach.

Dataran Lang - is a must!!. Not because the place was so interesting but its just a mark that we were at Langkawi... Hahhaha..Ok la actually original plan we want to visit to Legend Park but the place was closed for renovation so we had our photo session time with that huge eagle.

Makam Mahsuri - It do change a lot. I was there during 1994. WIth just a small area. A place for you to show a respect to Mahsuri and access the area for free!! Now.. you have to pay RM 5 for adult and RM2.50 for kid below 12 yo. Upon step in the area, you can access to Mini Mahsuri Museum on the right side and watching a group of tradtional musician playing Cak Lem Pong!! errr.. I think its not right to play music near to Mausoleum right?? I dunno.. maybe diff people may have diff view but somehow Langkawi Tourist Authority should place this Cak Lem Pong somewhere else... Kat beras terbakar tu ke... at least even people no longer have a high chance to see burned paddy.. should the entertained with this Cak Lem Pong kan??

Telaga Harbour - Nothing, just stop by to have our lunch and kids wants to see the boats.. nice view here..

Oriental Village - Nice place... build by Berj@ya Group. From here actually you can take a ride to Mat Cincang Mount via cable car.. but since only 3 yo and above allowed to ride in so we decide not to. Kesian kat Najah. But we have a fun looking at kids enjoy with rabbits at Animals park. We (me, nisa & najah) also took a ride on elephant!! Surprise jugak both girls tak takut langsung!! Mama dia je yg cuak! Hahahaha...

Chenang Beach - Just to have santai session after long hot bright day. Have a good time at clean and white beach. Sambil ring ria mandi manda... no photo!! because all "photogrpher" turut berendam... After swimming session, we enjoy out tea time with famous amous Laksa Utara.. yums!! Actually from here you can rent a boat as low as RM25 per person for island hopping to Pulau Dayang Bunting, Eagle Feeding and swim at Pulau Beras Basah. Kena pandai cari la...

We had our dinner near to Dataran Lang area. Having a Nasi goreng with Kang Kung Belacan, Kailan Ikan Masin, Siakap Kukus, Lala masak berlada and also sotong bakar for 5 persons only for RM68 was the yummiest ever!!

Reach home start with laundry. 3 rounds completed. Expected 2 more rounds to go!!.. Penat la.. but I was happy then!

I asked my mom what was her name when they used untuk akad.. she said, Zainun Salleh...

I wonder why take so long for my father to discover this..

My assumption would be either dia tak terperasan or he knows but segan nak tanya detail.. allahuaallam..!!

My Mother

How amazing from the question of my family I can trigger a few blog entries.

By the way, this will explain why I so rajin creating and keeping my mom family chart. The big reason is because I need to know my moms family tree. Ok that’s not really I want to tell. Actually its about my mom’s name. I have to keep it for my official record.

My mom’s original name that was given by her biological father was Fatimah bte Salleh. After she was adopted to my Tok Ayah (Sulaiman Salleh), her name was changed to Zainun Sulaiman. Until these days, people will know her by official or not by this name. I know this is something incorrect. Even in Islam, we are not allowed to change adopted kids name.

This happened because Tok Ayah afraid my mom’s biological family will claim her back since her twins was died. Tok Ayah then sworn in front of our former British Ruler to claim that baby was belongs to him and immediately change my mom’s name. Since there on my mom’s has been using this name to be known by everybody.

Upon getting married to my father, it was not known by my father that my mom was an adopted daughter until my mom’s pregnant me in her womb. When my father know about this, he was very angry and upset to his father in law. Knowing that, he immediately search for my mom real father (this is about to find real wali). Oh did I tell you that my mom was never meet her own family until she was 42 years old? And yes she was pregnant me while she at that age.

After like 2 months of looking my mom’s real parents, finally my mom met her own family but its too sad knowing that her real father was passed away long time ago. In other words, she was never met her own real father until recently she hired someone to perform haj and omra on behalf of her father. She claim that her father was came to her (in her dreams) to say thanks to her.

“Ok, how does he look like?”

“I could not see his face exactly but he does look old”

“So how do you know it was your father?”

“My instinct says”

“Oh I see”.

I can see my moms face glows upon telling me this. I think maybe because at last she can do something to appreciate her biological father. Whether its true or not the person in her dreams was her real father was undetermined or whether its reliable– maybe aliya can help us on this.

Ok long enough to tell about my mother story. I still keep her original birth certificate and official letter that turn to her current name for future reference. Oh this entry. I should keep this entry safe for my ref too.

316 Gong Kapas Family

On my previous post, Mosh did confused why do I called my mom's brother Abah.. instead of using common malay family's title. Ok before further elaboration let me show you my mom's family structure. Let we see here:

Please click on image for better view

Ok if you see, my mom's actually had 4 siblings (5 actually, my mom actually twins but the other half (boy) decease a few days after they were born). For Tok Long Esah knowing that she having a twins, my Tok Ayah who that time married with Che Zaharah who happens does not have rezeki to have their own kids, request to adopt 1 of the baby.

So by chances, Allah grant twins to my Tok Long Esah; 1 boy and 1 girl (my mom). She then entrust the baby (my mom) to others to care due to many factors. 1 of the factor is economy issue. Tok Ayah who was working as Custom Department whereby during those days we can say it was a very stable position to the family. Having good and consistent income compares to my Tok Salleh; work as old style fisherman.

While my mom at a very young age (around 3 yo), Che Zaharah die. Left my mom with her adopted father alone. So Tok Ayah need to remarry (of course he still young and handsome man with stable income) to taking care of my mom and also for him to gather new life with new partner. My Tok Ayah had remarried and divorced 3 times in order for him to find a good 'replacement'. According to my Tok Ayah, they divirce because my mom does not like her new step mother.. bleh??

Finally, he remarry his wife sister which during that time my Mak tok (Meriam Said - not Saad (mispelled)) was just 15 yo and my mom 5 yo.

So they live happily ever after.

Why do we call Abah as Abah, I also don't know. Maybe we need to asked first Hj Sulaiman's granddaughter (Abah's daughter) or should we asked Hj Sulaiman's second grandson (my brother).

After all for us its doesn't matter as long as the LOVE is there. We are all cousins are just like a siblings. We share sad and happiness together. But we really miss our Maktok Coffee now as she already nyanyuk to taking care of herself.
