316 Gong Kapas Family

On my previous post, Mosh did confused why do I called my mom's brother Abah.. instead of using common malay family's title. Ok before further elaboration let me show you my mom's family structure. Let we see here:

Ok if you see, my mom's actually had 4 siblings (5 actually, my mom actually twins but the other half (boy) decease a few days after they were born). For Tok Long Esah knowing that she having a twins, my Tok Ayah who that time married with Che Zaharah who happens does not have rezeki to have their own kids, request to adopt 1 of the baby.

So by chances, Allah grant twins to my Tok Long Esah; 1 boy and 1 girl (my mom). She then entrust the baby (my mom) to others to care due to many factors. 1 of the factor is economy issue. Tok Ayah who was working as Custom Department whereby during those days we can say it was a very stable position to the family. Having good and consistent income compares to my Tok Salleh; work as old style fisherman.

While my mom at a very young age (around 3 yo), Che Zaharah die. Left my mom with her adopted father alone. So Tok Ayah need to remarry (of course he still young and handsome man with stable income) to taking care of my mom and also for him to gather new life with new partner. My Tok Ayah had remarried and divorced 3 times in order for him to find a good 'replacement'. According to my Tok Ayah, they divirce because my mom does not like her new step mother.. bleh??

Finally, he remarry his wife sister which during that time my Mak tok (Meriam Said - not Saad (mispelled)) was just 15 yo and my mom 5 yo.

So they live happily ever after.

Why do we call Abah as Abah, I also don't know. Maybe we need to asked first Hj Sulaiman's granddaughter (Abah's daughter) or should we asked Hj Sulaiman's second grandson (my brother).

After all for us its doesn't matter as long as the LOVE is there. We are all cousins are just like a siblings. We share sad and happiness together. But we really miss our Maktok Coffee now as she already nyanyuk to taking care of herself.
