Its true!. Reading GUiT is not like reading a novel or any other story book. It takes sometimes for me to flip pages to pages and chapter to chapter. After finished 1 chapter, it does make me pause for a while. Of course I have to steal my working time to read the book. While waiting customer to revert me back or while my R&D seems tune to boring stage, I flip the book and continue my reading. Reading a chapter just take me a few minutes but pondering and remembering my childhood days in Terengganu take me an hour to stop playing in my head. I believe this sentiment will apply to all Terengganu readers. It’s a small town ok. And during those days and even my childhood days, people mostly know each other or at least can relate onto the relationship by the story.

I can't deny. I get misty-eyed once in a while. It’s so touch my memories. Sungguh sentimental saya...

Everytime he mention Abdullah Yunani, I will recall my memory to Abdullah Yunani grand daughter who happen to be my classmates during Sultan Sulaiman Secondary School. Huda or Jepun. That's what we called her. I think its been like 5 years I have not seen or contact with her.

Kuih Perut Ayam. It’s really something new-heard for me. I never knew the existance of this dish until it was mention by Awang Goneng. My mom saw me read those books and interesed to know who the writer is. Since my mom know Tengku Bustaman and by lack of ability (or malas) to explain what is blog or blogger and such, I just said he is a friend of Tengku Bustaman "Ala geng Ku Bustamang". So by opportunity, I asked my mom. What is kuih perut ayam. "Hah! Dia tulih peruk ayang??" asked my mom dgn penuh excitednya... And she explain bit how its looks like made by glutinous flour and eat with santan.. taste sweet and she can remember and she said "Boleh terasa kak ujung lidoh ni bila mung sebok kuih tu" but sadly my mom don't know how to make it. Cis!!

A few Terengganu words that have been not used by me for quite sometimes. When I found those words like beleda, rojok kateh, selepang, mmaing, cerlong, mmayik, gamang, ppioh lembek and lots more (you have to read yourself if you want to know) its definitely makes me smile with full of laugh in my heart (ye la kan.. takkan nak ketawa sorang2 kat opis ni).

“Balikla wok!” or in my way “Kelikla wok!”

Uhuhuhuuhu.. nok balik kkapong weiiihhh!!

I will definitely going to buy another copy of GUiT to be sent to my brother at Orland0. Dah lama sangat duduk kat sana, cakap Terengganu pon dah tak betul... huh!! Kasik dia sentimental sket... susoh sangak nok suruh balik kkapong skali-skale... hihs!!

0 cheers!!:
